How to Use Safari Notify Me on iPhone With iOS 27

Safari Notify Me lets you ask Safari to watch one webpage for a specific update, such as a price drop, a restock or registration opening. On an eligible iPhone running iOS 27, open the webpage in Safari, tap the Page Menu button beside the address bar, choose Notify Me, describe what Safari should look for, adjust the checking schedule if needed, then tap the checkmark to save it. Safari can check as often as hourly, but it is not a real-time alert service or a tool for comparing prices across stores.

What Safari Notify Me requires

Apple released iOS 27 on September 14, 2026. Notify Me is an Apple Intelligence feature, so installing iOS 27 alone is not enough.

To use it on an iPhone, you need:

  • iOS 27 or later. Check this in Settings > General > Software Update or Settings > General > About.
  • A compatible iPhone. Apple lists the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 models or later. The standard iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus and older iPhones do not support Apple Intelligence.
  • Apple Intelligence enabled. Complete its setup if your iPhone prompts you to do so.
  • Supported device and Siri language settings. Apple Intelligence requires both settings to use a supported language.
  • Safari notifications enabled. Safari must be allowed to display notifications if you want visible alerts.

Safari Notify Me is available in a broad set of Apple Intelligence languages and regional varieties, including English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Apple also lists Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Vietnamese, with availability varying by language and region. For a U.S. iPhone, using English (United States) for both the iPhone and Siri is the simplest setup.

Set up a Safari Notify Me alert

  1. Open Safari and go to the exact webpage you want to monitor. Use a specific product, event, appointment or registration page instead of a general homepage where possible.
  2. Tap the Page Menu button at the left of the address bar.
  3. Tap Notify Me.
  4. Describe the update you want Safari to detect. You may also be offered suggestions based on the page.
  5. Tap Edit, if needed, to change how often Safari checks the page and select the relevant time or day options.
  6. Tap the checkmark button to save the monitor. If iPhone asks for notification permission, allow Safari notifications.

The available schedules include hourly, daily, weekly and monthly checks. Hourly is the shortest interval: Safari does not continuously watch the page. A sought-after ticket or limited-stock product might appear and sell out between checks, so use the seller’s own email, text-message or app alert as the primary option when timing is critical.

Describe one clear, observable change. For example:

  • “Notify me when the price falls below $300.”
  • “Alert me when the blue size eight is back in stock.”
  • “Notify me when registration opens for the October workshop.”
  • “Alert me when Friday appointments become available.”
  • “Notify me when tickets for the Chicago show go on sale.”
  • “Alert me when this page publishes the application deadline.”

Avoid a broad request such as “Tell me when something changes.” Product recommendations, advertising, rotating banners and other routine page updates can make a vague request less useful. A focused instruction gives Safari a clearer condition to assess.

Notify Me monitors the webpage you selected. It does not search other retailers, compare historical prices, apply coupons or find the lowest price elsewhere. For shopping, it is best treated as a page-update alert rather than a full price-tracking service.

Manage Notify Me alerts and notifications

When Safari detects the update you requested at the chosen checking interval, it sends a notification to the iPhone. Depending on your notification settings, the alert can appear on the Lock Screen, in Notification Center or as a banner. Tapping the alert should open the monitored webpage.

You can manage active monitors from Safari settings:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Apps, then Safari.
  3. Scroll down and tap Notify Me.
  4. Select a monitored webpage.
  5. Edit the request or schedule, or choose Delete to stop monitoring it.

You can also return to the monitored webpage in Safari and use its Notify Me controls to change or stop that request. Delete alerts once you have bought the item, booked the appointment or completed registration. This keeps the list manageable and prevents alerts you no longer need.

Fix a missing Notify Me option or missing alerts

Check iOS, the iPhone model and Apple Intelligence

Confirm that the iPhone is running iOS 27 or later and that it is an Apple Intelligence-compatible model. Notify Me will not appear on an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus or earlier model, even if that phone can install iOS 27. Also make sure Apple Intelligence setup has finished and that it has not been turned off.

If Software Update shows iOS 26.7, look for a separate iOS 27 upgrade option, often under Also Available. The two versions are separate releases. See Why Your iPhone Shows iOS 26.7 Instead of iOS 27 for help identifying the update offered on your phone.

Check language and regional availability

Open Settings > General > Language & Region to review the iPhone language. Then open Settings > Siri and review the Siri language. Both must use supported settings, and feature availability can vary by region. After changing a language, allow time for the iPhone to apply the setting and download any required resources.

Use a supported page and a precise request

Apple notes that the Notify Me command appears only when the website supports it. If it is absent, try a different page or wait for the current page to finish loading. Pages that require an active sign-in, depend on a temporary session or place the important information inside an embedded booking or shopping tool may not work as expected.

If Safari accepts the request but cannot create the monitor, simplify the wording. For example, replace “Tell me when I can buy this at a good price” with “Notify me when the displayed price is below $500.” If it still fails, use the website’s own alert system where available.

Allow and review Safari notifications

Go to Settings > Notifications > Safari and turn on Allow Notifications. Under Alerts, choose at least one delivery location, such as Lock Screen, Notification Center or Banners. If Safari is included in Scheduled Summary, notifications may arrive at the scheduled summary time rather than immediately. A Focus mode can also silence or delay alerts.

Finally, remember that an hourly request can take up to about an hour to detect an update. If a page no longer loads normally or an alert seems unreliable, delete the monitor and create a new one with a shorter interval and a more specific request.
